Featured on Interior Design TV programs and home decor magazines, his paintings have been showcased publicly at art galleries and fairs since 2000 in Canada, the United States, and Germany. Private and corporate collections in Canada, the USA, Great Britain, and Guatemala hold his artwork.
Presently painting from his home studio, Hryhorczuk is represented by contemporary art galleries in Toronto.
Growing up in British Columbia's rural countryside, Hryhorczuk enjoyed drawing as a child. He pursued art seriously in high school, influenced by Attila Richard Lukacs to choose oil painting as his primary medium. After high school, he resided in Vancouver, where he encountered the work of Jean Michel Basquiat, inspiring him to experiment with subject and form. Later, he established his first art studio before relocating to Toronto to pursue a career in art.
Initially focused on figure painting, Hryhorczuk embraced the abstract energy of De Kooning, Rothko, and Pollock, influencing his early experiments with abstraction. In 2007, he moved with his wife to Guatemala City, Guatemala, for two years. This period featured drawing, painting, reading, museum visits, and travels throughout Central America, with frequent returns to Canada for art exhibitions and deliveries.
Hryhorczuk dedicates his time to creating art and supporting fellow artists, believing in the importance of a thriving creative community.
