Hailing from a lineage of junk dealers, the individual exhibits a keen interest in collecting peculiar and uncommon objects. During childhood, residing in rural Ohio, boredom consumed them until their mother gifted them art supplies and encouraged them to "create something." Thus, their artistic journey commenced and continues unabated. Engaging in art effectively subdues their boredom.
A sense of estrangement has always permeated the individual's being, leading them to be drawn to the bizarre and unconventional. Upon initiating a new artwork, they seek out discarded objects and materials that possess rich surface textures and evoke a tactile response, including hair, fur, leather, wax, rubber, ceramic, glass, and metal.
These elements are assembled with the aspiration that the process will culminate in an invented object that simultaneously elicits strangeness and familiarity, cuteness and humor, while maintaining an undercurrent of eccentricity.
